KARAOKE News!
Greetings from Royal Lake Club Kuala Lumpur………
The Karaoke Sub-Committee (KSC) actually interested in having some sort of pilot “Karaoke” session at the Batek Bar exclusively for members aged 18-35 range (“Young Adults”)
Presently, Sundays Karaoke Session is from 7.00pm – 12.30am at the Batek Bar.
It’s such a waste…..we have:
~ Good karaoke system & better equipment (operated by a Professional Operator)
~ Cheaper alcohol that other karaoke joint
~ The space
~ Free car park
~ 4 snooker tables!! (under consideration)
If you can, just email to events@royallakeclub.org.my within 14 days from date hereof or contact ROZITA (Events Executive), Tel 03-26987878 ext 2110 to let us know:-
~ Whether you are keen to join the Young Adults Karaoke Session
~ Give us a few (or many) suggestions on how you might like something like the following to work-the more decently outrageous the better:-
~ Block 5.00pm – 8.00pm exclusively for you to karaoke & clubbing….Very Possible!
~ “No-Talking-On-Mobiles” rule may have to go during your karaoke session…hmm?
~ Allow members’ friends/guests in……Great!
~ Book the snooker room as well…? (NB: Probably a dedicated karaoke venue to be built adjacent to Billiard Room)
~ How about at 1st ever RLC Hip Hop Karaoke Championship for 18-35 years?
We Don’t have all the ideas-we are open to any suggestion!

Karaoke in RLC has being around since 1996 with an on-going Inter-Club Karaoke Competition of 7 Clubs for a Challenge Trophy,, viz RLC (pioneer), Royal Selangor Club, Royal Commonwealth Society Club, Kelab Golf Negara Subang, Eurasian Club (SAFTEA), Raintree Club & The National Press Club.
THIS YEAR-2008, it’s our turn to host the 16th Interclub Karaoke Competition at RLC Banquet Hall on Saturday, 23rd August 2008.
RLC need – 4 solo singers & 1 duet to compete in the Competition.
NOTE:
RLC WON the overall Club Championship in 2006 & 2007. So, if RLC win this year (2008) that will be 3 years consecutively, the Challenge Trophy will then belong to RLC.

Wildcard & new entries Sunday, 6th July 2008 at 7.00pm (Batek Bar)
In-house Karaoke Final Championship Saturday, 26th July 2008 at 8.00pm (Banquet Hall)
Interclub Karaoke Competition Saturday, 23rd August 2008 at 8.00pm (Banquet Hall)
Anyone out there wishes RLC MAKE HISTORY for BEING THE 1st CLUB TO BRING THE CHALLENGE TROPHY PERMANENTLY HOME…?
